Nottingham Maintenance Ltd are very proud to be putting back into our local community by working together with Nottingham city Council and the Nottingham Job Fund Scheme. The idea of the programme is to create jobs for local unemployed people who are trying to get back into the industry. How the programme works, Workshop completion created and provided by Nottingham City Council. Nottingham city Council supply all PPE and provide them with a CSCS card. Nottingham Maintenance Ltd provides a 2 week work experience. Chance of employment or written reference on completion. Today was a very good day for the two candidates that completed the two week work experience as one was offered a full time position and the other was offered a full time job with another company after Nottingham Maintenance provided a glowing reference to match his hard work that he did over the last two weeks. Our aim is to give back to our community and help those who need it and want it! Lets hope we can continue.
Last year Nottingham Maintenance completed 1935 jobs in total. As a landlord, you are responsible for the safety of your tenants. If you let a property equipped with gas appliances you have three main responsibilities: Maintenance: pipework, appliances and flues must be maintained in a safe condition. Gas appliances should be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If these are not available it is recommended that they are serviced annually unless advised otherwise by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Gas safety checks: a 12 monthly gas safety check must be carried out on every gas appliance/flue. A gas safety check will make sure gas fittings and appliances are safe to use. Record: a record of the annual gas safety check must be provided to your tenant within 28 days of the check being completed or to new tenants before they move in. Landlords must keep copies of the gas safety record for two years. Nottingham Maintenance will carry out your gas safety checks and provide you with your certificate, better yet when using Nottingham Maintenance for your LGS we will automatically place you on our system so you will be notified when next due, so you are always covered.
What a great start to the new year, we are already in April and have done so much. We are happy that we can provide the training, management and support to our work force, we have already completed a number of different training courses this year to better our self's which include asbestos awareness training, first aid, quick step master fitters, working at heights and health and safety. we will hopefully carry on throughout this year to better our selfs and to provide the staff with further training to develop there skills and provide a safe working environment.
